Ibiza

Useful Info

The Geography

Approximately 571 square kilometres Ibiza is small but perfectly formed. Because of this compact charm, you can be anywhere and everywhere you want, from sunrise through to the early hours, and the beauty of it is that even in the busiest months of July and August, we still know the off-the-beaten-track hidden gems, so it never feels crowded.

The sunshine calculator

Ibiza enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Average temperatures range from 14°C (57°F) in January to 28°C (82°F) in August. The hottest months are July and August, with average highs of around 30°C (86°F). Visiting out of season is really fun as there is a different and more relaxed vibe where you will be mingling with an eclectic crowd of locals rather than tourists.

Travel Connections

Ibiza airport (IBZ) has direct connections to a host of European cities as well as Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia. The island’s busy port has ferry routes to Barcelona, Denia and Valencia on the Spanish mainland, as well as Palma in Mallorca, and Formentera.

Local transport

To make the most of your visit we always recommend hiring a car so that you can explore all the small coves and pretty villages easily. There is a local taxi service and a new Uber service but in high season you may experience longer waiting periods; we can also coordinate private transport which is especially useful for moving larger groups at the same time.

Restaurant Scene

Ibiza has an amazing and growing global dining scene. If you want to make sure you are in the right place and experience the best options for your group, we love crafting the perfect itienraries tailored utilising our local knowledge and contacts. As well as a growing number of Michelin starred restaurants there are many off the beaten track local places we love to share.

Eat Like a Local

At the end of most meals out in Ibiza expect to be offered ‘un chupito de Hierbas’ on the house, a traditional herbal digestif. Traditional restaurants usually inladnd include grill style meat focused places called an ‘asasdor’, tapas style small plate bars and restaurants in the towns or many beachside paella and fish focused chiringuitos. Traditional dishes include Bullit de Peix, Arroz de Mantanza, Paella and for desert Graixonera or Flaó.

Best time to visit

All year long! A growing number of our villas are set up for cosy off season breaks. The island is a different place off season, we live and work here all year round, ready to fill you in from a local’s perspective on the best of where to go and what to do at any time of year.
