USEFUL INFO

What is the best time to visit Menorca?

Menorca has approximately 300 days of sunshine per year but for guaranteed hot weather and a buzzier feel, the summer months of July and August are recommended. However, Menorca’s beaches and hiking and biking trails can be experienced throughout spring and autumn (April to June and September and October) when the island is still sunny and warm yet crowd-free.

How many days do you need in Menorca?

Relatively small, you can get a good taste of Menorca in a long weekend but stretch your trip further and you will be able to explore much deeper.

What is Menorca known for?

Menorca is known for its stunning Mediterranean coastline with over 100 beaches, UNESCO-protected landscape and authentic Balearic culture.

Is Menorca good for families?

Menorca is well suited to a family villa holiday thanks to its slow place and quieter vibe. The island’s southern beaches with their soft sand and shallow, calm water are safe for young children and a good amount of accessible parking makes family beach trips fuss-free.

Menorca is smaller and quieter than Ibiza or Mallorca with a bigger focus on trips that embrace nature, culture and food. It was much less developed historically for tourism and there are very limited resorts or high rise buildings with the island remaining wild and authentic.

How to get to Menorca?

Menorca Airport, also known as Mahón Menorca Airport (MAH), is located 4.5 km southwest of the ancient capital Mahón and has flights to destinations across Europe and beyond.
