Famed for its energetic cities, most notably Bogota, Medellín and Cartagena, it has an ever-evolving culture, design and gastronomy scene.  

What's the best time of year to visit Colombia?

Colombia is a year-round destination thanks to its equatorial location. December to March is the most popular time to visit as this is when the country has the driest weather. However, April to November bring their own benefits with fewer crowds and lush green landscapes. 

How many days do I need in Colombia?

If you are travelling from Europe, at least a week is recommended based on the travel time and time difference. If you are coming from North America, a shorter trip of four or five days is worth it. Colombia is large and to really explore a number of popular destinations, a two or three week trip is advisable.

Where to go first time in Colombia?

An ideal first time trip would take in a variety of Colombia’s distinct landscapes. This could include colourful Cartagena and Colombia’s Caribbean coast which is just a stone’s throw away before exploring Medellín and the rural landscapes of Antioquia and the coffee country in Quindío. Breaking up an itinerary with downtime in Honda or Barichara is always a good idea.
