A private funicular transports guests from the bustling streets below up to fragrant Mediterranean gardens where this stately example of classic Italian architecture commands from its hillside position. Inside, a large reception room is filled with antique furniture and large patio doors opening up to an equally well furnished terrace and those magnificent views. The kitchen is equipped for preparing a banquet, with beautiful artisan ceramics from the area. There are three bedrooms en-suite and three with separate bathrooms, five being doubles and one a twin room. Most have access to a terrace with sea views and all are complete with air conditioning.
A taverna with wood fired pizza oven is a fabulous feature of the lower terrace, an ideal spot for getting together. Sumptuous sofas and lounges offer plenty of corners for privacy and relaxation and the private pool for a cooling dip in the summer months.
Daily service of course comes as standard, with two housekeepers and a villa manager ensuring that guests’ stays are of the utmost comfort and ease.
