Backed by the Sierra Madre mountains and spilling out onto the Pacific ocean, this spectacular Bosco Sodi designed home blends seamlessly into its natural surroundings. Taking advantage of the region’s year round summery climate, the open-air living area has a thatched ¨palapa¨ roof under which guests can enjoy uninterrupted views over the beach. Filled with beautiful locally made ceramics, natural wood and stone finishes and vintage furniture, the mood is tastefully low-key and uncompromising in attention to detail. Textiles and rugs from Oaxaca and further afield dress the bedrooms, which are each set in their own privately accessed cabañas. Each cabaña almost identical in its set up features a rainfall shower and the double bedrooms have desk areas to work at.
The home is carefully created to sit harmoniously with nature and built with natural ventilation techniques, drawing on the fresh sea breeze and natural light. For those needing to stay connected, WiFi is provided via Starlink and for those more into some old-fashioned fun, there’s a ping pong table in the main living area. Cushioned sun loungers line the swimming pool where parasols also offer some shady respite. As dusk starts to fall, take a seat and witness some of the world’s most spectacular sunsets.
