This handsome hillside villa has all the hallmarks of the respected local architecture studio Blakstad behind its transformation – it’s an elegantly converted finca that combines a stylish contemporary update with the quintessentially rustic soul of Ibiza. Whitewashed walls, sabina wood beams and hand-baked terracotta tiles echo the property’s bucolic past, while plump sofas, designer furniture and colourful modern art reflect 21st-century living.

The lounge features a lovely snug where built-in sofas flank a brick fireplace, while the adjacent open-plan living and dining area offers more space to relax. Step outside, and long, free-flowing terraces wrap around much of the villa, overlooking the extensive gardens and providing multiple vantage points to enjoy that stunning countryside panorama.

With its swathes of manicured lawns, ancient olive trees and tall palms, the gardens provide an abundance of outside space to explore and for kids to play in. There’s a fragrant herb garden to discover, too, and even a chicken coop where guests can collect fresh eggs daily. Add to it all a huge south-facing pool terrace with more incredible views, and the result is a magical stay like few places on the island.

There’s little doubt that the villa’s infinity swimming pool is the star of the show, long enough for your morning swim, with salt-filtered water and a kid-friendly shallow end – not to mention its incredible valley vistas to Ibiza Town’s Dalt Vila and beyond. Stylish wooden cushion-topped sunbeds line the pool and are big enough for couples, plus a poolside palapa offers sun-dappled lounging.

There’s a shaded summer kitchen close by, too, complete with a barbecue, plus Sonos speakers to set the holiday mood. The villa has an indoor country-style kitchen, as well, with up-to-date, top-brand appliances and central island that help make cooking a breeze. A second shaded outside dining table nearby makes the perfect spot for long lingering lunches or dinner under the stars.

Of the villa’s six bedrooms, two are master suites while two have independent access via the garden. Calming decor combines with king-size beds and quality linen to aid slumber, plus all come with TVs that include access to Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Netflix. Each has its own ensuite bathroom – whirlpool bathtub features in a master suite – together with deluxe organic toiletries made by the owner of Can Lavanda herself.
