USEFUL INFO

Which islands are included in the Balearics?

Located in the Western Mediterranean sea of Spain’s east coast, the Balearic Islands are perfect for villa holidays and include Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca and Formentera.

How do the Balearic Islands differ from each other?

The islands vary dramatically in size and each of the Balearic Islands has a distinct character. Mallorca is the biggest and offers the greatest variety, with mountains, countryside, stunning beaches and historic towns. Ibiza combines wild coastline, village life and a strong food and creative scene while Menorca is quieter and more protected, known for its coves and slower pace. Formentera is the smallest and most low-key, with clear water, open beaches and a relaxed rhythm.

When is the best time to visit the Balearics?

The Balearics are a year-round destination. The summer months run June to September and offers the hottest temperatures and most sun ideal for long beach days and sea swims in crystal clear waters. The shoulder seasons during spring (April and May) and autumn (October and November) still offer warm weather and are ideal for hiking and cycling as well as crowd-free beaches. Winters are mild, quiet and a chance to explore the Balearics truly like a local.

Do I need a car when staying in the Balearics?

While a car isn’t essential, it is often recommended when visiting Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca. We can help with car hire and the freedom of this opens up opportunities to reach quiet beaches, some of the best restaurants and off-the-beaten-track spots. Formentera is much smaller and easier to navigate, often best explored by scooter or bicycle.

How do you get to the Balearic Islands?

Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca all have their own international airports with connections to Europe and beyond while Formentera can be reached by a high-speed ferry from Ibiza. Ferry connections also operate between the islands, making travel within the Balearics easy and straightforward.

Can you help plan a longer Spanish itinerary?

We help guests shape longer stays by offering local guidance, practical planning support and on-the-ground logistics. Rather than building rigid day-by-day schedules, we focus on helping guests settle into one place, understand their surroundings and make the most of the island slowly.
