Nestled in a swathe of pine forest is this lovely family-friendly finca, its traditional Ibiza-style architecture of soft-edged, whitewashed stucco immaculately maintained with hardwood shutters and chunky doors adding to the authentic rustic look.
Inside is a warm and welcoming sense of home, with a colourful collection of artworks, furnishings and patterned fabrics chiming against the simple crisp white interiors.
The downstairs layout flows easily between open-plan living space with kitchen and dining area, while a second sitting room has its own entrance. These open directly to shaded verandas with comfy seating that overlook the lush gardens. Here, sunny patios extend to the long pool terrace on one side and huge swathe of lawn on the other. Drystone walls line the grounds, which are planted with a wealth of flowering plants, soaring palms and ancient olive trees. It all adds up to a rather lovely and particularly tranquil scene.
Taking a dip in the salt-filtered swimming pool surrounded by nature is a particularly pleasant way to cool off on hot summer days. The water can also be heated over chillier months. And line it is no shortage of cushioned loungers to recline on, as well as a comfy double daybed, ideal for a poolside snooze. And by night underwater LED lighting makes for especially eye-catching illumination. Portable Bluetooth speakers help add to the ambience.
Quite unusual for Ibiza, there’s a large rectangle of lawn great for kids to run around on, or even play football or badminton. There’s also a ping-pong table ready for action. If barbecues are your thing, the villa is kitted out with an iconic Green Egg Japanese-style grill, which can also be used to make pizza. Inside, the charming marble-top kitchen comes fully equipped, plus there’s a convenient second pool kitchen. Filtered drinking water is also on-tap.
The villa’s six bedrooms sleep up to 11 guests, with most spread around the ground floor. The master suite is found on the upper floor, and features an ensuite bathroom with soaking tub as well as its own rooftop terrace.
