Everything about Casa Ceiba exudes a blissful sense of off-the-grid seclusion. Jungle-hut chic extends throughout, with darkwood furnishings, bamboo detailing and other handcrafted natural materials connecting the villa with its lush natural surroundings. A mix of terracotta and glazed pattern tiling add to the earthy and homely vibe of the place, while an abundance of low-profile seating and comfy hammocks means there’s always somewhere to flop at hand.
High-ceilinged living areas with concertina doors make for wonderfully airy spaces to relax and socialise, while low lighting creates atmospheric evening magic. Just outside, an extensive wood deck terrace wraps around the property and pool area, perfect for morning yoga, daytime sunbathing and long dinners on balmy evenings under the stars.
The centrepiece of this wonderfully rustic holiday home is its huge palm-lined swimming pool. Filled with filtered sea water, it forms the central focus of the property and is a fabulous spot to cool off while gazing over the beach just steps away. The six bedrooms are accessed from the main house in cabaña style and sleep up to 12 guests. All have beautifully tiled ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers, while the master adds a lovely soaking tub too. Five of the suites also open to their own terrace boasting superb views over the Caribbean Sea.
Together with the main building, there’s a separate guest house with its own fully equipped kitchen, twin bedroom, bathroom with shower and a gorgeous living area with breakfast table. A main kitchen with pretty tiling and a big central bench is where your meals are prepared by friendly and hospitable house staff who are at your disposal – so you don’t need to lift a finger during your stay.
