“…an artfully landscaped collection of sunny terraces, manicured lawns and chill-out spots, surrounded by an abundance of well-tended plantlife and overlooking the shimmering Mediterranean.”
With its elevated position atop Puig Redo hill affording glorious panoramic vistas along Ibiza’s south coast, this villa features a setting like few others. You’re also barely a ten-minute drive from both the airport and the fabulous Cala Jondal beach. But with its playful contemporary styling, high-end tech and fabulous infinity pool, you’ll be forgiven for not wanting to leave Can Jondal at all during your island break.
The Design
With its clean-lined contemporary architecture, sleek sun-filled spaces, and chic collection of designer furnishings, there’s more than a touch of glamour about Can Jondal. But its bright and stylish interiors are super liveable, too, with an open-plan layout that includes comfy lounge area with plush low-profile sofa and cook-friendly kitchen. Colourful splashes of contemporary art and patterned fabrics also add to the upbeat, holiday vibe.
But it’s the outside space that really steals the show: an artfully landscaped collection of sunny terraces, manicured lawns and chill-out spots, surrounded by an abundance of well-tended plantlife and overlooking the shimmering Mediterranean. The sweeping panoramic views along the southern coast from here – out to Cap des Falcó and beyond to Formentera – are genuinely breathtaking.
The Details
Can Jondal is a great villa if you love to cook. The Doimo Italian kitchen comes equipped with top-range Miele appliances including a steam oven for preparing healthy light meals. You can even enjoy the lovely garden and sea views from the kitchen island while you prepare meals. You can expect the latest tech throughout the home, too, including integrated air conditioning, SONOS sound system and smart lighting.
The 10m x 4m infinity pool makes the perfect spot for cooling off on summer days, with sun loungers or squishy garden beds to flop onto in between dips. The water can also be heated for out-of-season breaks. A large sail provides shade over a separate walled seating area, plus you’ll find a couple of canopied Bali beds tucked away in the gardens if you fancy a quiet afternoon snooze. Kid-friendly entertainment includes a ping pong table and trampoline, plus there’s a separate TV area for the little ones.
There are four bedroom suites in the main house and the fifth has separate access down below the pool. All have bright ensuite bathrooms and direct access to a patio or the garden; one even features its own outdoor jacuzzi for soaking under the stars.
