There’s a good reason why the leafy neighbourhood this luxury villa occupies is amongst Ibiza’s most sought after. Firstly, it’s a lovely peaceful area, but dotted with amenities and upmarket properties. Its location puts it within super-easy reach of Ibiza Town, too, just minutes away by road, as well as walking distance from Talamanca Beach. You’ll want to hang out plenty at the villa, as well of course, with its numerous chill-out spaces, good-size pool, and some seriously spectacular views from its elevated hillside setting.
The Design
Despite its residential neighbourhood locale, there’s an undeniable feeling of seclusion once you set foot inside Casa Sirena. Spread over three levels, the combination of clever architectural design and careful planting has created a series of supremely liveable spaces that feel both intimate and open. Outside, warm honey-hued stone combine with whitewashed walls to evoke a distinctly modern-Balearic vibe. Inside, a calming palette of sandstone and pastels blends with clean-lined, retro-tinged design resulting in timeless yet contemporary interiors.
On the first floor, a large open-plan lounge and dining room features a comfy sofa area which opens up directly to the pool terrace. There’s a separate snug, too, with L-shaped sofa, fireplace and big TV perfect for curling up with a movie. But it’s the outside spaces that really impress, comprising both decked-gravel gardens and a wraparound terrace that provides breathtaking sunsets and views over nearby Ibiza Town. Come nightfall, uplit spotlights create a dramatic effect upon soaring palm trees and other native flora. This, together with the scattering of lights over the city that stretches out to the hills silhouetted beyond, creates real moments of Mediterranean magic.
The Details
Steps leading into the tile deck swimming pool makes for particularly easy access when you’re looking to cool off on sizzling sunny days. The glass enclosed terrace even affords views from here over the neighbouring tree line. A line of loungers, built-in cushioned bench, and Bali bed all offers comfy spots to dry off or recline with a book poolside. There’s a long table for alfresco dining here, too, or head to the lower level for quiet drinks and a leisurely game of petanque.
Indoors, you’ll find a thoroughly modern kitchen fully-equipped with top-of-the-range appliances such as Smeg toaster and kettle, twin ovens and a big fridge-freezer. There’s a barbecue for alfresco cooking perfect for entertaining, too. There’s even an indoor-outdoor gym if you’re keen to burn off the calories afterwards, plus there are loaner mountain bikes if you want to explore the area on two wheels.
The villa has four bedrooms, plus a separate self-contained apartment. All rooms have their own bathroom, with the master suite featuring a freestanding tub and double sink vanity.This room also extends to its own terrace with stunning views. A second bedroom opens to a ground-level terrace overlooking the tropical garden. All rooms come with top quality cotton bedding and plump feather pillows, and the property is air conditioned throughout.
