“the two master suites are particularly spacious and light-filled, with glass roofs and enormous terraces providing breathtaking mountain views both in and out.”
With a Table Mountain backdrop and the Cape Town ‘city bowl’ stretched out below, Cape Kadu is perfectly positioned to enjoy the drama of the spectacular surroundings. Perched at the foot of the towering mountain, this superb four-storey villa offers panoramic views and some very special sunsets from numerous terraces and vast glass facades. The stunning vistas and luxe facilities are enough to make you want to stay poolside, but with everything from wine tours to scuba diving just a hop away, your sense of adventure will likely tempt you beyond.
The Design
With an abundance of wood textures, sculptures, and natural fibres, combined with a wealth of greenery, this is a house designed to be at one with nature. Huge glass windows and doors are everywhere you look, allowing for 360-degree views and a sense of endless light and space. A large and luminous open-plan living space hosts a 14-seat dining area, various lounging zones and a sleek contemporary fireplace. African artworks adorn walls and shelves and patterned throws and cushions add texture to neutral linen upholstery on big, comfy sofas.
Sliding glass doors in the living space open onto an impressive curved terrace looking out over the city and the sea beyond with seating perfectly positioned to enjoy the sunset. The adjacent kitchen has stairs to the spacious wooden decked pool terrace, which also boasts a large wooden dining table and a stylish Braai barbecue area. At the rear of the property, the facade features atrium-like glazing on the top floor, bringing the drama of the surrounding mountain-scape inside.
The Details
After stepping out of the glimmering, green-tiled pool onto the sun-baked deck, you’ll be spoilt for choice between cushioned sunbeds and the extra large daybed – all positioned to gaze out over the city basin and mountain surrounds. You will find terraces positioned all around the villa and across all floors, each with deluxe seating and incredible views.
Sleeping up to 14 guests, the seven large and bright suites are spread throughout the property and all have private terraces. Each suite is unique but with similar touches including natural materials, well-crafted furniture, and splashes of green. On the top floor, the two master suites are particularly spacious and light-filled, with glass roofs and enormous terraces providing breathtaking mountain views both in and out. Just off the main living area, the large modern kitchen comes fully equipped, while downstairs you can work out in the gym, unwind in the wellness suite or have some time in the sauna, before rehydrating at the juice bar.
