Set on a hillside in a pine backed residential neighbourhood looking out over Cala Tarida, this luxury villa combines impeccably chic design with sun-filled spaces and high-end features. The best bit? Soaking up incredible views along Ibiza’s west coast and the daily spectacle of the sun dipping into the shimmering Mediterranean Sea.

The Design

Soon after stepping through the door of this luminous, newly-renovated villa you understand why they chose to call it Can Sankisha – or ‘Happy Home’ in Swahili. Clean lines, uncluttered light-filled spaces, and crisp whitewashed walls provide the canvas for carefully curated designer furnishings, colourful contemporary artworks and the occasional touch of rustic-chic. From the open-plan main living area, cool slabs of grey stone segue into hardwood decking to create a flowing indoor-outdoor environment synonymous with Mediterranean living. 

And it’s outdoors you’ll likely spend most of your time here, where a series of sun-drenched terraces are scattered with places to chill poolside – take your pick from squishy beanbags, comfy sun-loungers or double daybeds. But wherever you choose to flop, it’s the views that really steal the show here. Thanks to a privileged position nestled into a hillside overlooking Ibiza’s scenic west coast, this villa affords you spectacular panoramic vistas and swoon-worthy sunsets.

The Details

Together with its stylishly understated finish, the villa is awash with high-end features. The highlight is the sleek L-shaped swimming pool with water feature, surrounded by spacious sun-drench terraces and shaded sofa seating areas. A swish outside lounge with plump Royal Botania couches provides the perfect spot for dusk drinks and sunset-gazing. 

Inside, the kitchen is beautifully finished in natural woods and equipped with top-level appliances such as Nespresso machine and a Siemens oven, while a Quooker tap provides purified and instant boiling water. Lingering lunches or balmy dinners can be enjoyed under the shade of a wooden pergola, and one terrace down a stone chess set adds a sense of fun. 

All bedrooms are havens of serenity, too, with a calming palette and beds dressed in crisp linens and feather pillows. Each has its own ensuite bathroom with walk-in rainfall shower, while the master suite opens outside to a chunky stone tub – perfect for soaking under the stars. Villa-branded beach towels, bathrobes and toiletries all add to the feel of a private boutique-hotel experience.

It´s beach is very popular with families in the low- and high-season, due to the extremely sheltered nature of the bay, the wide sandy beach and shallow waters and the overall peacefulness of the resort. The main road running through the village is extremely curvy as it winds its way up the hill, offering stunning views of the beautiful bay below.

    It is a tiny bay with crystal turquoise water and pure golden fine sand, so you don’t need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal.
